His Majesty the King's Birthday is the largest and most important royal celebration in Thailand. The main ceremonies take place at Sanam Luang and include an early morining alms-giving ceremony, followed by a special festival of Thai culture and music. Beautiful decorations adorn the capitals streets at this time, especially along Ratchadamnoen Avenue.
The Bangkok Jazz Festival takes place annually at Dusit Palace (Sanam Sua Pa), attracting upwards of 30,000 people and an impressive line-up of local and international talent.
